Wolves vs Man United: Pre-Match Shots Selections & Bet Builder Land in 4-1 Rout

Wolves hosted Manchester United at Molineux on Monday night, with rock-bottom Wolves desperate to end their nightmare run and United looking to bounce back after a frustrating draw with West Ham. The visitors ran riot, winning 4-1 as Bruno Fernandes bagged a brace, Bryan Mbeumo continued his excellent form, and Mason Mount added a stunning volley.

Mbeumo's Form Continues

The Cameroonian has been one of the signings of the summer. After joining United for £71m from Brentford in July, where he scored 20 Premier League goals last season, Mbeumo has hit the ground running at Old Trafford. He won the Premier League Player of the Month award in October after scoring against Liverpool and Brighton, and currently leads United's scoring charts with six goals this campaign.

Against a Wolves defence that had conceded 23 goals in 14 games, Mbeumo was always likely to be busy. He opened his account with a tap-in after a sweeping counter-attack on 51 minutes, and continued testing Sam Johnstone throughout the second half.

Cunha Returns, Fernandes Runs the Show

This fixture had an extra storyline. Matheus Cunha, who left Wolves for United in June 2025 after triggering his £62.5m release clause, returned to Molineux for the first time. Despite being booed by sections of the home support, Cunha showed his class throughout and registered an assist for Fernandes' opener.

Fernandes was the focal point of everything United created. He opened the scoring on 25 minutes after an André error gifted possession, slipping as he received a Cunha pass but recovering to turn Emmanuel Agbadou and squeeze a shot past Johnstone.

Wolves briefly rallied when Jean-Ricner Bellegarde struck in first-half stoppage time to end their 43-day goalless run, but the second half was one-way traffic. Fernandes set up Mount's brilliant volley with a sublime lofted pass on 62 minutes, then sealed the win from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute after Yerson Mosquera handled an Amad Diallo effort.

United finished with 27 shots, their most in any game under Amorim. Wolves remain rooted to the bottom with two points from 15 matches.
